Stella Vardaki's Profile
Hello! I am an artist experimenting in jewelry design. Most of my works are made of cotton, recycled textile, gemstones, mother of pearls and beads. They are carefully crafted by myself to make every item unique. I hope that each piece shows the delicate balance between conceptual exploration and attention to detail.
I still like the idea to treat my textile jewelries as canvas for my 'painting', I like to use this technique, to give more dimensional feeling to the pictorial jewelries. The method is known as 'appliqued technique'. Using tiny pieces of fabric and a needle, I 'embroidered' imageries of flower garden, with birds and butterflies, on my textile canvas. I want to make people happy when they see my jewelry.
Each piece of my works is unique and different to one another. I may be making the similar piece in the future, but…
