About

I am never good at introductions.

I am a mom to a total of six kids, four that I gave birth to and two that I did not, but my heart doesn’t see a difference. They range in ages of 26, 23, 21, 19, 10, and 8. Some are here all the time, some are here not so all the time, but we are a family no matter what.

Having mostly boys, the house is bound to have a video game playing if we are at home. The girls are even learning to like video games, but our favorite family passtime will always be gathering around the table and sharing stories.

I am also the proud wife of a recently retired military man. The GA National Guard transferred us to the Metro Atlanta area in December 2011. When he retired, we decided to stick around the area. I LOVE the craft shows in the area!…

I started up Stitch N Love back in April of 2008 when it became apparent to me that working outside the home just wasn’t going to work for the family but I wanted to be able to contribute monetarily. My grandma suggested quilting after I made a few blankets for friends and I grew it into more. I quickly knew that online as the best place for me to start, so I created a website. I am now on my second self-standing website: www.stitchnlove.com I opened my Etsy site in June 2008. My first “sale” was winning an Alchemy bid in July! When I moved to the 'burbs of Atlanta, I had a chance meeting with a like-minded crafter. We became fast friends and decided that craft shows are more fun when you have a partner.. We merged our two shop names into one and Bloomin' Love Boutique was born. We then decided to take Bloomin' Love into our individual shops: I became Bloomin' Love Designs and she took Bloomin' Love Creations. I closed up shop in the summer of 2013 to go back into the education field.

In my previous life, I was a kindergarten teacher. I taught kindergarten for 5 years along with a year of 4th grade and a 4/5 multiage. I love working with children, it’s the politics of the public school system that burned me out. When I returned to the education field, I went back to teach pre-kindergarten in the GA Pre-K program.

I decided to re-open my Etsy shop in February 2016. We have our sight's on getting into local craft shows. I hope that you enjoy the new designs and color selections in the new shop! Oh yeah, I also went back to my shop roots and renamed the shop Stitch'N Love Boutique again!

I look forward to working for/with you!
