For as long as I can remember I have loved to sew.
My first memory of sewing was when I was about 11 years old. At that time I lived in Ireland and attended a school run by nuns. There learning to sew was considered just as important as learning the ABCs and 123s. I quite vividly remember sitting in the school room with needle in hand learning to hand sew an apron. I remember trying so hard to make all my stitches the same length and distance apart.
The other more intriguing part of that memory involves the fabric. It was purple paisley and I vividly remember the design and feel of the fabric .
