I have always been a collector and observer of the world. As a child, I would sit under the weeping willow tree in our backyard and dig for rocks. When my father took me to a lapidary shop in grade school, I found my passion. The colors and different types of stones fascinated me. Friends and family bought me rock identification books for my birthday. I was hooked! The stones in my collection reminded me of a place, a feeling, or a journey. Dad and I would then spend hours tumbling these rough rocks into finished gems- a magical transformation!

In college I chose to study architecture. That sheltering weeping willow tree in my backyard always reminded me that ‘place’ is what grounds us and moves us. Architectural forms and details float in my brain, always ready to offer up a great shape or pattern. Onion domes and mosaics make me giddy!…

Technique, shape and tradition are my foundation, but I add my own modern aesthetic. Human experience is intertwined with our environment, and my pieces are reminiscent of time and place. I hope you’ll find my jewelry feels distinctive, unconventional, and enduring.
