I have been making art as long as I can remember. (Arts & Crafts camp? Art classes at the museum? Sign me up!)

My creative passion led me to art school where I majored in graphic design and illustration. This in turn, led me to designing greeting cards and related products for a huge corporation for many years and eventually running a freelance graphic design business from my home studio while I raised my twins.

If you are an art person you know that working with your hands is an addiction you cannot shed. So, I am back to my passion of making jewelry. I have also always been a beach girl, collecting sea glass, shells (never live ones!) and beach stones all my life. When I discovered I could actually combine my two passions: making creative and fun stuff (I have also sewn clothing, wood burned, painted furniture, dyed silk scarves...the list is endless) with hanging out on beautiful beaches collecting natural treasures, I knew I’d found my path!

So, here is STōNZ. Thanks for stopping by!

Note: All STōNZ beach glass and stones are collected in keeping within federal and state laws. Please do your part to respect our planet.

STōNZ™

Though SToNZ jewelry is made with natural unpolished beach stones, it is surprisingly lightweight. Many beach stones are porous and so lightweight that you will find your STōNZ jewelry to be very comfortable to wear. I only use sterling silver and high quality clasps which I oxidize and buff to a satin finish. No bling here!

No two STōNZ items are ever the same. Each stone or sea glass gem was created and sea tumbled by Mother Nature then drilled and transformed into a unique piece of beautiful wearable artwork. All pearls are real natural freshwater pearls, often with funky blemishes and natural imperfections. This adds to their natural beauty and seems to marry perfectly with the earthy quality of the beach stones and silver findings.

I occasionally add other materials to my jewelry as I come across interesting doodads. (Wow, my spell check actually knew how to spell that word!) I love little padlocks, thimbles, skeleton keys, tokens, vintage sterling hearts and any unusual little trinkets.

I frequently oxidize my sterling silver chains and buff them for a matte satin finish to compliment the links and stones on the pendants. A word of warning: Dipping these chains in liquid jewelry cleaner or using cream silver polish may remove this dark oxidization. Daily wear will cause your jewelry get a little shinier. You can buff it gently with a nylon dish scrubbing pad or fine steel wool if you want to return it to the matte finish. If you prefer a shinier look, you can buff your jewelry with a polishing cloth. STōNZ beach stones may darken a bit with wear due to the oils in your skin. They actually get more beautiful as you wear them! For the occasional cleaning of your SToNZ jewelry it is best to use a soft toothbrush with a mild dish soap and then rinse with water. This is also a great way to clean the seaglass pieces.

► Shop Policies:

All STōNZ jewelry comes with a free velvet storage pouch. I can also include a free gift box if you ask for one.
Most bracelets and link style necklaces can be adjusted for length on request. In many cases you can remove SToNZ pendants and use them on your own cord or chain. If you need to know about this, please ask before purchase.

► Please feel free to convo or email me! I'd love to hear from you.
My email is: stonzware [!at] roadrunner.com

► Feedback:

I offer money back if there is ANY problem with your order. I just ask that you give me the opportunity to solve any issues, before leaving feedback. I will always make it right.

► Shipping:

I use USPS First Class INSURED shipping within the US and Canada. First Class usually takes 1-3 days for most destinations. Heavier vintage items usually ship Priority Mail.
I try to ship on the next business day with Paypal or Etsy payment.

Please make sure your Paypal and Etsy shipping addresses match. I will use the Etsy address as a default if I do not hear from you about a discrepancy.

I am not responsible for any overseas customs fees. This will be up to you to handle on your end. Every country is different.

International Orders: There is no delivery confirmation for international packages. I will do my best to ensure the delivery of your item, but if your customs seizes the item, it's out of my hands. I apologize but I can't be responsible for lost or undelivered international packages. (I have not had an issue with this so far!)

If you purchase an item as a gift, let me know and I’d be happy to send it to the recipient without a receipt and send the receipt to you. I can also gift wrap your item for no extra charge on request.

► Payment:

I accept PayPal, Etsy Direct Checkout (credit cards) or personal checks. I will hold up shipment for payment by personal check for up to 10 business days for the check to clear. If you are in a hurry, Paypal or Direct Checkout are your quickest options! Remember you can use Paypal to pay with your credit card without having a Paypal account. It's easy! If you have any difficulty with Paypal let me know and I can send you an invoice.

New to Etsy? See detailed instructions on how to complete your purchase here:
http://www.etsy.com/help_guide_checkout.php

► Sales Tax:

If you are in Ohio Etsy check out will automatically add Ohio sales tax when you make your purchase.

► Refund Policy:

If an item is damaged in shipping I will be more than happy to fix or replace it free of charge. (This is unlikely as I am a careful packer!) There are no returns on customized items for obvious reasons. (Or custom shortened bracelets and necklaces)

► Repairs:

30 day repair warranty covers defective jewelry parts; does not cover natural stone variation and mistreated products. STōNZ items are durable, but like any jewelry, should be treated with TLC! If your SToNZ jewelry breaks at any time, please contact me. If I can fix it, I will!

If you are unhappy with your purchase, you may return the item within 14 days of purchase for a full refund not including shipping charges. Please let me know asap if you are sending something back.

Thanks so much for dropping by!
