Sarah's Profile

About

My name is Sarah. I live, work, design & create at my home in Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA. I have always loved to make things for my friends and family... now I am extending an invitation to you to purchase some of my favorites.

It all began with a box of Crayola Crayons and whatever left over supplies I could find around the house... glue, paper towel rolls, egg cartons, beads, yarn sequins and buttons. I made something new everyday, and I learned and grew with each success or failure.

As I grew older life became about making a living and I took on a number of jobs at different times including: industrial seamstress, babysitter / nanny, window washer, retail sales person, parts clerk in the hanger of an airport, bank teller, insurance secretary, vehicle photographer and briefly at a laundry mat.

They each had their benefits. We won’t talk about the negatives.

As for me... well I try to live simply, but I'm bad at it. I live in a quaint little brick home that I keep eiether immaculate (once in a great while when we have guests) or looking as though a craft tornado had it's way with my every room. You will find the ironing board, computer and cords, camera printer, boxes, supplies, sizzors, scraps, pillows blankets and empty cherry coke cans through out.

I am privliged to have a very enduring husband that only gets irritated with the mess once in a while. He is wonderfully creative and smart. You can see his creations at: http://www.etsy.com/shop/PeskyElephantDesigns
The other member of the family is a bossy little dog called Barnaby Jones. He thinks he runs the joint. He is half poodle and half Yorkshire Terrier. He helps me do my crafts by trying to eat my supplies.

Today I own and operate a floral design company called Suite Blooms & Designs. http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Cheyenne/SuiteBlooms/272721623120

I specialize in fresh flower bouquets, arrangements & decorations for weddings and celebrations. My etsy site suiteblooms has become an extension of this and allows me to meet new people and share my lovingly hand made items with people the world over. I am glad to say that this is not just a job. It is a passion that resides deep inside of me. I am also overcome with gratitude that I have a kind, hard working, supportive husband who graciously puts up with the art supplies and the threads that you can find on any give day scattered throughout our living room. Every client is my new favorite. Every wedding is new and exciting. Weddings are my passion; let's talk about yours!
