Fascinated by what she calls ‘vintage kitsch’, she loves to collect and integrate objects from the past with present day pop culture offerings in her work. Her whimsical nature has few boundaries. One of her most popular creations is her Wurst Hundeleine, which draws much attention as she walks her dog, Lilli, along the streets of Charlottenburg. Wiesje has also recently designed her unique Washbecken, a fusion of stone, steel, and Murano glass, a wonderful addition to both traditional and modern home styles.

To Wiesje, sunwies is not only a place to create works and offer vintage Lauscha glass, Vallerysthal, porcelain figurines, Barbie dolls, and various unique antiques, but also a place where friends, old and new, come together to eat, laugh, and discuss life.
