I can't remember a time when I wasn't making something with my hands. I don't know which I loved more--my mother's jewelry box or her button tin. Both seemed to behold unfathomable treasures. I recall my mother's patient efforts to teach my sister and I to knit while we were down with the chicken pox. And later she worked hard to help me understand the simplest of sewing instructions. I am blessed to come from a family that made and exchanged handmade gifts for special occasions.
In 2000 I began my own line of quilt patterns under the company name of Off Your Rocker Designs. Because I live in the southwest, many of my patterns reflect the beauty of the canyons, animals, and petroglyphs found close to my home.
