Ashlee Park's Profile

About

Hi! My name is Ashlee, and I love love love to make all kinds of fun and lovely things! I live in a suburb right outside of Raleigh, NC, with my amazing husband, three cool cats, one adorable dog, a very very old fish, and ten chickens. My degree is in fashion, I went to FIDM in Los Angeles, and absolutely loved it! But shortly after graduating I decided I wanted a life and one day a family without being a workaholic. I never wanted to be famous, I just want to spend my life doing something that I love. So, here I am, creating in my own environment everyday, and thoroughly enjoying it! I love many styles, but as you can probably tell, I am head over heels for vintage, especially 30's-60's. When I was little I would beg my mom to let me stay up and watch Nick at Night,(oh yes, I DO love Lucy!), and I constantly had the oldies station on the radio in the car. I saw my first 1930's Hollywood musical when I was ten and immediately fell in love with old films, and Fred Astaire. I love quirky vintage style. Here are a few of my obsessions: cutesy ceramic animals, feedsack fabrics, chenille, vintage dishes, hankies, anything hazel atlas, and vintage childrens books. I am an avid shopper, or as I like to call it, vintage treasure hunter. I love to seek out unique items, and one of the reasons I love vintage is that there is always a storey behind an item, a history. We may not always know where an item came from, but half the fun is speculating where and who it journeyed to along the way. All of my designs in my shop are made with vintage materials or inspired by them. Everything is unique. I also have a blog, www.mysocalledcraftylife.wordpress.com , where I share diy craft projects, my favorite vintage finds from around the internet, favorite etsy artists and what's new in my shop. Stop on by and check it out sometime.
I welcome custom orders. I also welcome questions. If you've got either, send me a convo, and i'll get back to you asap. Thanks for taking a peek at my shop! I hope you'll come back soon!
