I adore to work with all metals as you find each one has its own advantages and responds so differently to being worked.

Welcome to my shop, I’m Shelley

I live on the Isle of Man in the middle of the Irish Sea, surrounded with such amazing views and beaches I naturally draw inspiration from the natural flora and fauna, marine life which have been swept to shore are key concepts for my work. One off 'pods/shells' are produced using a range of precious metals from silver, gold and more recently to Argentium. I adore to work with all metals as you find each one has its own advantages and responds so differently to being worked.

Having recently undertaken a further training course in repousse I am developing a new range of traditional floral pieces of jewellery which will contrast the sleek minimal designs of my shells. I find it fascinating to create sculptural forms from flat sheet. Watching the patterns shape and form unfold is like watching flowers uncurl and blossom.
Using traditional skills to create all my work ensures each piece is not only lovingly handcrafted, but completely original. I feel it is important to continue to work with the traditional skills to ensure they are kept alive. There is something wonderful about making jewellery; I love the smiles on customer’s faces when you make the piece of jewellery they have been dreaming of. As well as a practising jeweller I also teach part time which ensures these skills are passed onto the next generation, which is something I am passionate about.

I hope you enjoy looking round my shop, please contact me if you have any specific requirements or would like to discuss making commission pieces.
