About

one-time structural engineer who uses math and science to create beautiful things

My mother was a pretty cool art teacher. I grew up thinking that it was totally normal to draw on the walls and any surface I could get my hands on. Many years later, I received my graduate degree in structural engineering from the University of Waterloo. Then following a perhaps logical progression, I found a job in the engineering consulting industry in Boston. While my technical curiosity was satisfied daily, I felt compelled to explore my original passion - Fiber Lab was created to find a way for me to reconcile all the things I love: art, science, and technology.
