About

Hello,

Welcome to my Etsy store! I'd like to share a little information about myself and my store policies.

A little bit about me:

I was born in Adelaide, Australia where I lived until 1997. My home and studio are now in Tarzana, California. Growing up in Australia as the daughter of gem and mineral obsessed parents, I spent a lot of time digging in the dirt on family vacations, fossicking for gemstones. Somewhere during my high school years, I found out about
glass from a glassworking friend. When I found myself with garage space about 8 years ago, I started playing with glass myself, first in stained glass, then in torch worked glass.

About

I struggled with creativity most of my life and found it difficult to see my visions through into reality. That is until I found glass. There is something about glass as a medium that drives me creatively. I am drawn to the colour, texture, colour reactions and of course, its variable translucent properties. I find torchworked glass an intensely personal way of working with glass. The closeness and the way the glass responds to your influence is intimate and (almost instantly!) gratifying in ways that stained glass was not for me.
I find myself inspired by colour and texture, frequently in larger objects like architecture and landscapes, and I want to translate their feel into smaller wearable items. If you've already looked at my work you'll have noticed the influences of natural objects, leaves,
stones, natural colours, clean lines, and pottery. I also find myself drawn to traditional symbols and craft designs.

A little bit about my store:

Most of the information you need can be found in my policy section.
Feel free to contact me through Etsy if you have any questions about any of my work.

While looking around, please be aware that any bead style can be made in multiples. I may not have multiples listed but they can be listed for you.

Most of my jewelry comes with a silver chain in various lengths. These can easily be substituted for leather cords, magnetic cable chokers, or satin cords with clasps.

Please feel free to contact me about this if you have any special requests.

If you would like to see more of my beer themed wood and leather work, please visit my other etsy store, beermuse.
