Thanks for stopping in to find more about the woman who is behind...Tapestry of Life! My formal training is in Education and my past career included teaching 7th-12th grade Bible and Biology. I enjoyed teaching school, but my husband's job tended to move us frequently so it made it difficult for me to stay in one place for too long. I have always had a passion for home decorating and would frequently use it as an outlet to relieve the stress of teaching. I could rearrange the entire house in one evening if the stress of the day was bad enough!! During the process of this "decorating", I have always been on the lookout for fun and unusual items for which to use in my decor. During the process of this "decorating", I have always been on the lookout for fun and unusual items for which to use in my decor. I love estate sales, auctions, antique markets, European street markets and just about any place I can find some "good old stuff"!

So how did I get into the floral business? I was having a hard time finding quality florals at the price that I wanted to pay. I needed a softer touch for my decor and could "see" what I wanted in my head, but I couldn't find it out there in the stores. Once I found sources for quality floral stems...the rest was history! I have been creating the handmade florals for about 10 years now and fall more in love with it the more I do!

"Tapestry of Life" was named about 10 years ago by my oldest son, who suggested the name after he saw a collection of items I was going to sell. He said, "Some of these items are like things from Granny's house (great-grandmother), some from Nana's (grandmother) house and some from our house. Why don't you just call it a tapestry of our life"...and thus Tapestry of Life was born!

Thanks for making us part of the tapestry of your life!

Blessings to you and yours!
