Janay (aka. TastiRedbone on YouTube) - I have been on a perm free journey for years, over 15 years without me trying to tell you my age, LOL. In the summer of 2009 my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and part of her fear in her fight was that she would lose all of her hair. So on September 9. 2009 my mother had her first chemo treatment and I Big Chopped (BC) my hair and gave my hair to my mom so that she could make a ponytail out of my hair for herself.

After this Big Chop I really didn't know how to care for my short hairstyle (ear length). I asked my stylist what I should do and she said well you have "Good Hair", all you need is moose. I laughed so hard, I knew my hair was kinky and I didn't know what she was thinking when she said I had "Good Hair". So I decided that I was tired of arranging my schedule for salon appointments and I would research natural hair care. I found so…

I found so many blogs, forums, products and OMG YouTube. I quickly became a product junkie (PJ) and followed different Youtubers and forums until I became well versed and knowledgeable about what products were right for my hair. Over time I learned what my hair liked, what it didn't like, and I also learned that my stylist was right, I do have "Good Hair", because my hair was healthy.

After may setbacks with products that don't help my hair to thrive I started making a few items for myself, friends and family to play around with. In June of 2011 I launched my first store for my first love, Makeup. Tasti Kiss was born and I only planned to sell natural homemade cosmetics and I was doing good until something told me that maybe, just maybe, I could sell my hair butters too. So I put the butters to the test, I found random people across the globe to test my butters and give me their honest opinion. After months of development, testing, re-testing, and testing some more I finally decided to launch a new store, a store that I could showcase not only my natural cosmetics but also hair care products and other items that are essential to being a natural.

In January 2012 I launched Tasti Kiss Essentials and I have received so much love and support for my company that I feel truly blessed. I can't tell you how thankful I am for all of the love and support I received from my virtual natural family. Each month I try and bring something new to the store. I am still working on getting more vendors to be showcased in the TKE store so hopefully that will follow soon.

What else is in store for TKE....
