Joni Olmstead's Profile
Long before I was a granny OR tattooed, I was a compulsive crafter. I began sewing and embroidering before I hit the age of 12, encouraged by my grandma. Many a zipper was ripped at her behest and she taught me to make the inside of my work look as nice as the outside. I am a motivated learner, which has caused me to learn jewelry-making, knitting, crochet, weaving, spinning, felting and anything else that involves fiber or bling. As an English major, I fell into the world of marketing and communications for about 15 years, but escaped to follow my own path to a longarm quilting business and about 8 years working in local knitting shops, where I enjoyed teaching new fiber addicts to knit, spin and crochet.
So, in my shop, you will find not only my favorite- bracelets- but maybe even knitted items to keep you warm, handspun yarn or a woven tapestry or two…
