Long before I was a granny OR tattooed, I was a compulsive crafter. I began sewing and embroidering before I hit the age of 12, encouraged by my grandma. Many a zipper was ripped at her behest and she taught me to make the inside of my work look as nice as the outside. I am a motivated learner, which has caused me to learn jewelry-making, knitting, crochet, weaving, spinning, felting and anything else that involves fiber or bling. As an English major, I fell into the world of marketing and communications for about 15 years, but escaped to follow my own path to a longarm quilting business and about 8 years working in local knitting shops, where I enjoyed teaching new fiber addicts to knit, spin and crochet.

So, in my shop, you will find not only my favorite- bracelets- but maybe even knitted items to keep you warm, handspun yarn or a woven tapestry or two…

My husband of 37 years and I have lived in the Seattle area for over 20 years, but we hail originally from the midwest. We have three grown children and the world's most stupendous three grandchildren, plus two granddogs and two spoiled cats.
