Phill Puryer's Profile

About

The profile picture you see is of Jack, who sadly lost a long struggle with tumours yesterday 15th Dec 2012. He will be so very badly missed and as a tribute, his picture will remain as my profile pic.
Thanks to all friends and family who have sent their condolances.
He was never 'just a dog' he was a friend and companion too. Thankyou Jack for all the happy memories.

I was born and raised a country boy and enjoyed everything natural, birds, insects, animals, fish, plants etc., so it's no surprise that many of my works feature elements of that backdrop.

Going to college in Oxford gave me the tools to be able to capture those subjects and more in many types of media and even to this day I draw upon that training in my work.
I have developed a strong sense of environmental awareness and endeavour , where ever possible, to re-use and reclaim materials for my work.
Since losing my life partner, soul mate, wife, lover, friend and the Mother of my four children, my life has changed in ways I would never have thought possible. Everyday brings the realisation that she will not be there lying beside me, or when I walk into a room, there will be 'things' in it but not her. I am happy and so very honoured that I knew her, love her and married her, happy that we travelled together, laughed together, cried together, worried about the future of our beautiful kids together.
Trish you see wasn't just a partner, a wife , she was the very best part of me. I love her always.
Now you know me a little better! I hope I didn't make you sad. Thanks for reading. PP
I want to give a big up to all animal charities, they do a fantastic job under very difficult circumstances. R.S.P.C.A plus all the others
