About

I ask the Lord how to explain this passion He has given.
Feeling His compassion and wanting to share that compassion, to show love for those who hurting, hungry and in need. Spiritually and for daily food.

There are villages that have only children in them because the adults have died, and often due to aids. The children are left to take care of themselves.

Children live on the streets without parents, in many countries that we can easily reach. Babies abandoned, children exploited, hungry and misused. Often street children are given over to sniffing glue and four years old is not uncommon to be used when a street child.

Often people and children live out of dumpsites.

Often people and children live out of dumpsites.

My heart cries out for babies who are in the womb of their mother about to be killed because a mother doesn't realize she can keep her baby.

Pressure makes her take a life course that she did not want to make, others made it for her in a time of trial. Pressures to make a decision that is not what she wanted. Not realizing that there are others that love and care about both her and her baby.

There are so many examples of need. It doesn't take far to look.

The Lord showed me so clearly the little book I had just purchased, A Christmas Carol, about Ebenezer Scrooge.

Scrooge had lived a self centered life.

Life's experiences had caused him to become inward and self centered. He didn't know about the human condition around him, and he didn't care about it, either.

Rather than his own wealth and riches and comfortable life drawing him nearer to the Lord and more in love with people, drawn by their condition, he became stingy. Thinking only of himself.

He had an awakening that led him to realize that others were more important than his self centered life. He became aware of what his condition was truly like.

That unless he changed his self centered life, a child would die and he would, too, and that his life, Ebenezer's life, actually affected many. Whether for the good or adversely.

He got up repented, he was a transformed man.

He began immediately, like the beggar at the Gate Beautiful in the New Testament of the Bible, to walk in a changed life.

There is joy in Heaven over every sinner that repents and comes to the Lord in a truly repentant heart.

And he jumped up and began to live a changed life.
He began to share out of his bounty with those less fortunate.
He began to be a blessing to others lives.

I love that story. God has given to me to love that story. It does not fail to bring a deep move in my heart and the desire to see good done to those in need.

That is what we want to be. A blessing with what the Lord gives to us, for others. He also promises us to give to us seed for the sower, for our work for Him. I know that is true. I never fail to see it for the six years, every week, of this outreach work to feed the poor.

Like Ebenezer, we found it takes very little to give to make a big change.

The Lord's love is like a River and the more we give ourselves to Him to give that love, the more it comes to become a River to others.

There is always room for co-workers in the work we do. Just write and tell us what you would like to do. I can always share ways to become involved. You are of great value to us.

We love to share with people and groups about this work and especially we love to share the encouragement that we have found in our walk with the Lord Jesus.

More than anything else, I love to share my Jesus with you. And because of Him, His love.

You are welcome in our lives.

Sincerely, in His Love, Kathleen Angell
