About

TEEsox are unique sock animals made from all reclaimed clothing. They are all hand-stitched, one-of-a-kind, and created by me in my home studio. I am currently working on a children's picture book inspired by one of my TEEsox creations!

Since I was a little girl, I have enjoyed making hand-crafted gifts. The original TEEsox was inspired by my daughter's friend, Bianca, who had made herself a primitive sock monkey. (Thank you, Bianca, for being my Muse!) My first quirky critters were created as Christmas gifts for the young girl I mentor and for my two daughters. I had so much fun making them and received such enthusiastic feedback about them, I decided to start "TEEsox by Teri".

The animals that I made for my daughters were made out of their old worn out favorite socks and old clothes, making them very sentimental. I now make the TEEsox entirely out of reclaimed tee-shirts, socks (thus the name Teesox) and vintage clothes/linens. My materials come from my own stash, friend's generous donations, second-hand stores, flea markets and antique fairs. (But, not to worry, I wash everything before starting my creations!) Even the stuffing is made from cut up recycled tee-shirts, making them a little lumpy and giving them a rag doll feel. The added advantage to this, of course, is that they are completely green and sustainable!

The best part about this business is seeing the joy that my animals bring to others!
