My name is Phil. I'm a Raleigh, North Carolina native, and have been cutting gemstones on and off since I was about ten years old. I first fell in love with gems and minerals at about eight, and knew I wanted to learn to facet by the time I was 10. I got completely enthralled every time I went to a gem show and saw trays filled with bright, colorful stones. They completely captivated me, and it is my sincere hope that my stones will do the same for you :)
When not cutting stones or making jewelry, I also enjoy art, graphic design, screenprinting, programming, foreign languages and astronomy. I also have a ridiculous fluffy toy poodle named DJ.
My favorite stone in all the world is star sapphire.
