About me: everything I know I learned from my mother. She recently started beading jewelry, and when I asked if I could have or buy one of her pieces, she told me to make my own. So I did. But I kept buying and buying supplies, and kept making piece after piece of jewelry. I've bought so much beading 'stuff' that my husband asked me to move from the dining room table to a table (purchased for just this reason!) in the spare bedroom.
My mother also taught me the basics of crochet, and I've been doing it for years. I make mostly blankets/afghans, some from patterns in books, some from my imagination.
Lastly, my mother taught me to sew. She can, and has, made everything from doll clothes to wedding dresses (mine and my sister's). Last year I got a sewing machine and quilt making supplies for Christmas. Was that a hint? I've experimented and made a few bags/totes, and one baby quilt. I may try…
