ABOUT ME
Hi there!
I'm Lauri. I live in Ohio with my husband, 3 kids, and our Oriental cat, Izzy.
As a child, I loved doing anything creative, crafty, or artistic.
As an adult, I have worked an array of not-so-creative jobs/careers before becoming a wife, and stay-at-home mother.
While I truly love being a wife and mom, I am thrilled to have my Etsy shop as a creative outlet.

ABOUT ME
Hi there!
This shop started with my desire to have personalized mother's jewelry that was more unique in style, and less mass-produced in appearance.
When I discovered hand stamped jewelry, I was fascintated.
The handmade feel of it was appealing, as well as the lack of more traditional "mother's jewelry" elements.
I like a more organic look....usually simple, understated, or vintage in appearance.
I knew I had to learn how to create my own pieces.... I spent countless hours (months, really) learning, practicing and perfecting the art of handmade stamped jewelry and started selling necklaces and earrings in my Etsy shop in March 2009.
I have since added stamped accessories such as men's collar stays, keychains, guitar picks, and baby spoons. I continually think about what new items I could add to the shop.

I love the fact that customized pieces that I have made are now being enjoyed by my customers around the U.S., and internationally.
I am thrilled with the feedback and response to my shop, and am so very thankful for my customers...I hope you like what you see!

ABOUT MY WORK
What is hand stamping, you ask? It is a process that involves a hammer and little steel letter stamps (as well as some other necessary tools and supplies...).
Each steel letter stamp is carefully aligned on the piece being stamped, and then struck with the hammer to leave an impression.
There are absolutely no engraving machines or power tools used to make the letter impressions on a hand stamped piece.
No piece will ever be exactly the same as another since each letter is manually placed and struck, one by one...by your's truly.
Because each piece is hand-stamped one letter at a time, the letters will not always be perfectly "in-line" with each other. This is not to be considered a defect, but rather part of the charm and uniqueness of each piece - it is handmade, and one-of-a kind!

I welcome new ideas and suggestions. If there is something you would like that you don't see in my shop, or want to add something from another piece, feel free to contact me. I love hearing from my customers!

My best,
Lauri
