Here at The Joyful Sheep we sell custom roving, yarn, and other fun products! We are completely committed to customer satisfaction and enjoy seeing all the wonderful things our talented customers make!

About my store: As a child I grew up playing with my grandparents sheep (chickens, goats, and horses, also!) up on their farm in Northern Minnesota. My cousin and I would pretend we were cowboys and wrangle grandpa's sheep when he wasn't around. As I grew up, my mom taught me how to crochet, cook, and appreciate the arts. In my 20's I taught myself how to knit. Realizing how expensive yarn is, I decided to start making it on a spinning wheel with local wool. After a while I started teaching lessons on spinning. I also did and still do teach how to spin at our local county fair and also to the elementary school children in town. My true passion is with fiber though, even more so than spinning. I love the different textures and qualities of fiber whether grown on an animal or from a seed, whether in a cocoon or factory- each different type of fiber brings a unique and wonderful element to crafting. My goal is to make a variety of fibers available to the public at affordable prices... to not only keep old crafting traditions alive- but to encourage new ones too. Thanks for checking my store out!
