About

Welcome to the Wild Raspberry Boutique! I hope you can grab a cuppa and cozy up a bit, while you browse!

I finally made the jump and opened up my second Etsy shop, dividing up "the wild raspberry" and "ellieann and lucy". The wild raspberry will remain a handmade and vintage goods store more focused on vintage/boho style wedding decor, home decor, industrial vintage, unique gifts and hand painted wooden signs and bohemian clothes for ladies.

While ellieann and lucy will focus on unique, handmade boutique children's clothing, toys, play and dream items, tents and decor.

My dream and the style of these little shops have evolved over the years as I have grown more confident in my likes and what inspires me and brings me peace and happiness. I am a Christian who loves the LORD,…

My dream and the style of these little shops have evolved over the years as I have grown more confident in my likes and what inspires me and brings me peace and happiness. I am a Christian who loves the LORD, wants to be a good steward and happen to be thrifty by nature. I love to re~purpose and upcycle old treasures into something beautiful, still with vintage farmhouse charm, but with restored and new purpose.

I have a lovely large family who tries hard to keep God as the center of our lives, though we sometimes fail. I am now finished, after home schooling our five blessings for 23 years. I love antiquing, sewing, entertaining, auctions, primitives, decorating, painting old pieces in warm layers of white, industrial goodness, all things vintage, long walks, the fall best of all, cooking, and teaching and studying the Bible.

I dreamed of an eco friendly handmade shop where I made and sold unique and vintage goods created from all natural fabrics. Soft linens~ vintage and new, burlap, cotton, muslin, felted wool, old quilts and vintage laces for pillows, bags, handmade dresses, aprons, skirts and bloomers. I am thrifty and environmentally conscience almost to a fault, but that suits my little shop just fine. I save all of my natural fabric scraps and use them for stuffing my birds and eggs in my Play and Dream collection, and for stuffing handmade pumpkins in my Home Decor section. It saves money and material, is an all natural stuffing that keeps waste from being thrown away. A triple win!

I also wanted to share my small country auction finds with little pieces of industrial goodness, cleaned up and bit, and ready to be re~purposed and re~loved in your home. Unique vintage and antique finds I've stumbled upon at old farm auctions, down country dirt roads, around bends and over hills, in long forgotten corners of creaky, chippy~white painted 100 year old barns are sprinkled here and there in the shop. From vintage wedding dresses to rusty farm equipment and old typewriters...you'll find it here. Along with inspiring handmade signs and vintage framed chalkboards from upcycled barn wood, burlap table ware and all things cottage~farm chic for weddings and garden soirees!
.
So...Here I am...doing it...actually working in and on my dream, surrounded by vintage maniquins, bunting, chalk boards, piles of natural old and new fabrics, vintage clothing, burlap, linen and lace, old wooden crates and steamer trunks, blissfully sewing and painting away in my torn paint splattered jeans, all from the comfort of my own studio/sewing room in our big old farm house on this charming little country road in small town Missouri.

My decorating style at home is a mixture of industrial farmhouse meets~shabby cottage~rusty junk~romantic~loving anything brocante and white. So, yeah...a little eclectic.

When it comes to my sewing and creating, it's much of the same, plus feminine, comfy and girly. I put my best into all of my handmade items, whether for a wee little punkin, or an apron for a momma that wants some kissing in the kitchen. Every garment has a finished edge and is made to be durable. Most of my items have vintage material, lace or buttons incorporated into them, and all are made from eco friendly natural materials, with the exception of a boho bag or two that I've made from vintage 70s material, but that will be noted in the item description.

Me? I love to inspire and be inspired, if you see something you love and you can make it, good for you! I'm a thrifty girl, and I'm right there with you! If you can't and it's something in your budget that is oh-so-you, or a perfect gift for a friend or loved one, happy shopping!

All of my orders are shipped beautifully wrapped and ready to give. If you would like your order shipped to another address, please specify at checkout.

I'm excited and hopeful! Enjoy!

Warmly,
Marie
