About

Thinker Tinker is an extension of my artistic activities outside the world of galleries and grants. I often have smaller art projects that I experiment and like tinkering away with while I do my bigger projects. They both feed off each other and give guidance to the directions they take.

I use mostly materials that are given to me as unwanted goods and natural discards/trinkets and use them in an inventive way.

For example, the paper used for the cards are given to me as unwanted material and the printing blocks are old wood and lino blocks from previous card making adventures that I have re-discovered after a clean out.

Favorite materials

found materials, natural trinkets and findings, discarded scraps and goods, occasional extravagant paper and fabric, antique and vintage books, maps, botanical prints, stamps of all sorts, pressed leaves and flowers, feathers and many more along the same line of thought

These materials are effortless in their beauty as the wear of time tells all and nothing. Therefor, they should be treated with a little respect and without much interference.
