About

My strong, bold style comes from my graphic design background. I did a degree in Communication Design at the University of Portsmouth, and expanded on my design skills with three years working in design studios, eventually going freelance in 2010 when Knockout was formed! About

My strong, bold style comes from my graphic design background. I did a degree in Communication Design at the University of Portsmouth, and expanded on my design skills with three years working in design studios, eventually going freelance in 2010 when Knockout was formed! I chose the name and It contained my initials; K & O - clever huh?

I create design work and illustrations for commercial projects, but love to work on my own designs, some of which have made it to the pages of my Etsy shop. Most of my work stems from a quick sketch or a photograph, which I then manipulate, scan, colour, cut, print, whatever takes my fancy really. I really like to get my teeth into a linocut, but also love working on-screen too.

Bright colours really excite me, and I love to create prints with simple shapes. My subject matter varies and covers all my passions in life - music, architecture, cars, type. I love prints that are a little bit fun, and I can never take life too seriously.

I work part-time on my venture, and work as a PR and Marketing Assistant for a small museum for the other half of my week.
