My name is Tanya and I am a UK based crochet designer, and I would say that creativity is in my genes.
Growing up I was always drawing and had no doubt after schooling I would head down an artistic route. After various courses and tries of mediums, I found textiles suited me, especially the actual making of the fabric, mixing different fibres, textures and colours.
After achieving my degree in Constructed Textiles, I started working full time, sadly I had less and less time to dedicate to being creative.
Many years later, it was when I broke my foot and I was forced to take time out I used card making as a way of keeping occupied. I had so much fun and I couldn't believe I had allowed my creative side to lay dormant for so long.

The motivation for my work has always come from nature. It has an abundant supply of inspiration, with various shapes & forms, colours & tones.

I think the importance of accessories can be overlooked. By wearing a classic outfit or decorating a neutral room, accessories can change the whole dynamics. It can be a form of expression. By adding or changing your personal accessories you can express your individuality and mood, and change the suitability of the outfit for different occasions.
By adding accessories to a room, you can change the whole palette, add light and shade, and change the whole look and feel of a room.

I like to make statement pieces which have impact, show individuality and creativity to complement what you already own...
