David's Profile

About

I grew up on the banks of the River Thames but moved to the south east coast of England to Sunny Broadstairs with my job.
I love the outdoors and all my spare time is taken cycling and walking especially the beaches in search of sea glass, I now have a small family and we all have the sea glass bug which is great.
During the late Victorian era and later Londons rubbish was taken along the River Thames and out to sea to be dumped either offshore or on reclaimed land on dump sites, most of these sites have now been partially or completely swallowed up by the sea and estuary leaving the beaches with rich picking of sea glass and other discarded artifacts.
I also go metal detecting in Sussex & Kent and have a few dump sites where I dig antique bottles and other dump dug artifacts.
We also go traveling around the UK on sea glass holidays.
