Welcome to the Tiny Dreaded Thistle!

I love all things PAPER! Decorative papers are my weakness and try to use them in as many of my craft projects as I can. I also love stamping and printing of any kind. It makes me happy to look at stationary, cards, and just anything that uses fancy paper.

I live in the Greenbelt of Ontario, Canada. From my front door, I look out onto fabulous farmland, our wonderfully broken down barn and a vast amount of… THISTLES! This is where the name originated. The prickly and somewhat spookiness they have intrigues me, especially in the fall and winter when they are standing isolated and thorny above the snow.

I am married and a stay at home mom of two great kids. Originally from the city,I moved to the country and absolutely love the seclusion and freedom. I am growing to appreciate nature more and more and slowly getting used to the wildlife! I love to find and collect interesting stuff outside, hoping to use it for something one day.

I have tried many kinds of different art forms and crafting over the years. I am self-taught with all my art, aside from the occasional class here and there to get inspired and learn tips and tricks. Looking at the Etsy website has definitely stirred my own creativity. Seeing other artist’s work fascinates me. I see inspiration in everything. Sometimes too much! I've always enjoyed designing and making all sorts of things. As a kid, I remember using sewing patterns from my mom’s Woman’s Day magazines to sew tiny teddy bears. Not realizing until much later in life, they were supposed to be resized!

Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. I hope you enjoy looking around my shop.
