Toni Sylvia's Profile

About

I started sewing when I was pretty young and for much of my life made my own, and my daughter's, clothing. It wasn't until I made my daughter's wedding dress, however, that I finally believed I'm pretty darned good at what I do and - since then - designed and made my daughter-in-law's wedding dress last year (which is why my shop has been on vacation). By the way, I still make my own clothing and now include my grandchildren in my list of "clients."

When we moved to New Mexico about 15 years ago my interests expanded to beading - bead weaving, stringing, and incorporating bead work into my clothing designs and then started including crochet in my list of skills when I found out I was going to be a grandma.

I've retired since opening my shop and am now a certified Craft Yarn Council crochet instructor. In addition to creating items for my shop, I teach crochet at the local community college and Michael's.

I think I've finally recovered from wedding chaos and I'm finally ready to reopen tmsAdornments but with a few changes - I'll also be presenting items that include adornments for your surroundings.
