About

I am a Mom to a wonderful little girl and our furbabies, I am a Wife to a TN Army National Guard Soldier, I am a daughter, a sister, a niece and a granddaughter. I am me!

If I am not running around chasing my little girl, I am either reading or being creative. I love to be creative and try new things, rather it is a new receipe or a new pattern or creating a new digital scrapbook page. My creations reflect me and what I enjoy. I like to try new ideas thus the reason of variety in my shop. If you would like something, just ask, I am willing to try anything once. ;)

My daughter has been DX with SPD, Sensory Processing Disorder, as of May 2012. This DX is what got me into making weighted sensory blankets. I was already sewing but when her OT suggested a weighted blanket, I looked into making her one. I let her pick out the fabric at Wal-Mart. After a few trial and errors, I finally got a pattern I think works best. I have made one for a friend as well before I started selling them on Etsy. I sell them as cheap as I can because I know first hand how they do help and I also know money can be tight with all the trips to therapy sessions, and even the sessions themselves. However, always remember to consult with your OT or doctor for correct weight and size for your child. I am not a doctor, just a mother trying to help where I can.
