Artist's Bio:

Artist A. Barajas works in watercolor, ink, and clay, although her work comes in as varied media from mosaic to performance art. Barajas advocates for arts experiences for all individuals, regardless of different ability. Barajas has also developed and presented a professional development series for museum and galleries in order to bring tactile arts experiences to those with visual impairments. Her work has brought her national and international recognition from such entities as The Kennedy Center, The Disney Corporation, and VSA. She has traveled with the US Fulbright program to Japan, immersing in Japanese arts and education systems. Barajas serves as a resident artist in classrooms and galleries across south Florida. She holds a BFA from Ithaca College, a M.Ed. from Florida Atlantic University, and is Nationally Board Certified in Arts Education. Much of her inspiration comes from nature, her extensive world travels, and the many places she has called home. She is an artist, published writer, and hosts a regional television program based around the arts, in its 4th season. Allison Barajas thrives on creativity and resides with her family in a coastal town in southeast Florida.
