Photographer. Artist. Hugger of Seas n' Trees!

I grew up and have lived in various parts of Western Canada and also made temporary homes abroad in the UK and New Zealand. Although I studied business in university, it was a black and white darkroom photography course that would drastically change my course and bring me where I am today.

After working in the corporate world for several years, I finally began my journey as a full time photographer by quitting my day job as a Communications Manager and traveling through SE Asia and NZ in 2008, an excellent decision! About

Since returning, I have continued to shoot portrait, street and travel photography, intent on developing a prolific style that captivates and evokes emotion.

I hand transfer much of my travel imagery onto sustainable wood blocks and into jewelry settings which can be found at local art markets and boutiques in Vancouver and online. And most recently, I have started stamping words onto metal to make into wearable art. Stamping positive and inspiring words into various metals has not only been therapeutic for me, but healing as well. I hope that the wearer experiences the same thing.

Photo clothing is made with fabric manufactured in Canada and sewn by hand! The images printed on the clothing were taken by me locally in Vancouver, BC and beyond! Made using EcoPoly, a production process that uses significantly less water than other polyester production processes and printed using solvent free sublimation inks that will not fade after washing. The fabric is 88% polyester and 12% spandex making it ultra-stretchy but yet holds shape (compression fit), hugging the wearer in all the right places, even after multiple wearings.

When not photographing or makin’ stuff, I am torturing myself in a Bikram yoga studio, getting my toes salty along one of Vancouver’s magnificent coastlines or visiting far off lands (where I feel most at home).

'I believe that there is art in every living moment even those that appear prosaic or mundane. I never cease to be amazed by the honesty of the human spirit, spontaneous moments balanced by a quiet affinity and the profundity to be found in even the most fleeting, everyday occurrence. To me, it is all iconic and extraordinary, worth capturing and immortalizing.'
