Sitting at the sewing machine, holding up a completed project, I knew I was hooked. I was two and half... Ok, so I wasn't the creator, merely a spectator sitting on the lap of a very talented woman. But that was when I first fell in love with the idea of making things by hand. My first notable solo project was actually at age seven when I created a pair of shorts and a shirt to show my patriotism. They were red, white, and blue with yellow ribbons. (It was the Desert Storm era.)

Many years and many, many projects later I am now happily married and creating things on my own often with my child on my lap.

I have used any kind of media I could get my hands on over the years but I always return to my trusty sewing machine.
