Hello and aloha!
I'm an illustrator and fine artist with a background in biology as well. I realized that what I actually enjoy the most about biology is observing species and drawing them from life, so that is the direction my life has taken. Science is still a huge part of my thinking, however -- I love researching the species I draw and learning all about them. Conservation is also very important to me -- I am hoping that my artwork will educate and inspire people to do their part in preserving the marvelous species of our world.
I currently spend six months of the year in Berkeley, CA and six months in a little town called Papa'ikou on the big island of Hawai'i. I feel like I'm getting the best of both worlds, and I hope to be able to keep up this lifestyle!
