I have been crafting and "designing" since I was little. I learned sewing and needlework from my mother as a 4-H leader and remember making all sorts of things for my dolls. After learning to crochet, I would make doll accessories like rugs and bedspreads. I still have the mini Singer my mom bought me that I used to make Barbie clothes. My sisters and I made Barbie condos from cardboard boxes, building tables, beds, and stairs from Dad's wood scraps. I have also enjoyed knitting, cross stitch, and countless other crafty pastimes. About 10 years ago, I was introduced to scrapbooking and was instantly hooked. I think the sentimental part of me was drawn to the idea that I could preserve memories while being crafty. I currently am at home with my kids and am fortunate enough to work part time at a scrapbook store designing materials for classes.
