Hey there and Welcome to my Etsy store. My name is Alexa Perez and I am an addict. I eat, sleep, and breathe ART. It's existence in my life feeds my soul and keeps me living. I am a mother, a dancer, a makeup artist and a craft lover. I am a photographer, a designer, and an illustrator. I am passionate, strong-willed and hard-working. Combine those qualities and I seriously become a force of nature. :)

Just recently I decided to bottle my diversity into one cohesive brand. Tutu Eclectik was created as a way for me to share some of my talents and also, my eclecticness.

I think that my obsession for Makeup began before I even knew how to talk. My mother's love for 'products', combined with being a dancer/performer in my late childhood into adulthood, intensified my love for what I like to call....... ART for your face. In 2001, I was…

In 2001, I was privileged enough to land my dream job with a little company called MAC cosmetics. I continued my journey in the cosmetic industry throughout 2011. Throughout these years I had the extraordinary experience of working alongside some the industries' best artists. Whether it was working backstage at a fashion show, for bridal parties, or print work, I constantly had the opportunity to grow as an artist.

I learned how to take a photo on my dad's Pentax 35mm camera. In high school, I took two classes where I learned the basic techniques of photography and how to develop my own film in a darkroom, Sigh, I miss those days. Since, I have taken a few digital photography courses and have become knowledgeable in various photo editing software programs. Photography is ART. It combines the five basic principles of design into an amazing composition that allows you to showcase your outlook on life to the world.

I studied Graphic Design at The Art Institute of Charlotte. It is here, where my love for technology blossomed. The possibilities are endless thanks to amazing software such as Illustrator, Indesign, and Photoshop. Recently my focus has been more on designing invitations, paper goods and Wall Art for my Etsy store. In my years at the Art Institute I also learned that I can draw and paint. When I am not on my computer I enjoy freehand drawing and painting.

Eclectic......yes. But somehow it all becomes cohesive in the world of ART.

Thanks for taking the time to get to know me. If you have any questions or would like to contact me for any reason please feel free to visit my contact page. Take a look around and I hope you enjoy my work. This is my life......... and I do live it in color.
