Ed Gerber's Profile

About

Army brat, grew up in Japan, Alaska, New Mexico, New Jersey and Texas. Settled in El Paso, Texas after Dad retired from the Army at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.
Growing up on military bases offered me the opportunity to use on base craft and lapidary shops. Started cutting cabs at age 13 and 45 years later I'm still doing it! I started working with Silver at age 18 while in high school and made Turquoise rings and pendants during the Turquoise craze in the 70"s. Had to do something with all of those cabs!
My daughter Lauren is following in my foot steps. She is an accomplished lapidary and metal wrangler. Please take a look at her new shop! www.etsy.com/people/SilverSmittenKitten?ref=owner_profile_leftnav
