My childhood home was filled with art, antiques, and music. It was a happy time and although my parents encouraged me to have a profession they also encouraged me to study art, and music, and... to collect. It didn't matter what I collected as long as I collected!
I started college as a Fine Arts major with an emphasis in painting but finished with a degree in Occupational Therapy. I loved it, and found it to be a great creative outlet. While practicing OT, my interest grew in fine crafts and I eventually built a studio for weaving, ceramics, and jewelry. I mostly sold through galleries, and when time allowed, at juried art shows.
