An accidental business...in 2010 I was working in Dumbo and needed a great light fixture, but couldn't find an affordable industrial looking fixture anywhere. So I decided to make one and the story begins.

After hanging the fixture in my office space everyone that came through the door wanted one...needless to say it was a little distracting for my other business (and a little annoying as I was trying to sell women's fashion items). But I finally gave in and made a few fixtures for admirers and thought, why don't I post an image on Etsy to see what really happens with this? Before long I had a few Etsy orders in hand and other customers inquiring because they saw the fixtures I made for the first few customers. It was crazy! So here we are with a great business. And it all started with a piece of plywood I found in the trash in Dumbo! Now I have an awsome team here in Brooklyn to keep up with demand. It's awesome that we get to create jobs and create these amazing fixtures for our amazing customers here on Etsy.

We scavenger all over finding great pieces of wood, barn tin, and some other materials that are now in the works to use for our lighting. It has become quite an adventure! You never know which direction life will take you:)

We hope you'll stay tuned for some more great products and thanks for being our awesome customers.
