Charlotte Gray was raised in the in the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated with a BA and a MA from California State University, Hayward. She and her husband Darrell, a retired journalist who graduated from the University of Washington, moved to Washington state more than 20 years ago. After careers in education, social services and journalism they relocated to Whidbey Island and had the time to take more art classes and workshops. What captured Charlotte's interest most was using stained glass and tiles to create original mosaics. Soon Darrell also became interested in mosaics and now they work together creating their popular glass mosaic light switch plates.
Glass tiles, stained glass chips, "found" objects, rhinestones and vintage jewelry are often incorporated into Charlotte's "upcycled" mosaic mirrors, bottles, boxes, shoes, musical instruments, hats and other everyday finds. She also…

She also makes original and unique jewelry and small treasure boxes from Altoid mint tins, soldered glass jewelry and hand painted vintage furniture.
In addition to the ETSY shop, if you're visiting Washington State you'll find her art at "The Lucky Dumpster" which is filled with the unique, original art of more than 100 artists and located in the historic town of Edison, WA. She is also a member of Whidbey Allied Artists which is an organization of local artist who participate in art shows and sales at least four times a year.
