About

My life has been infused with a love of family, helping people, and creating beautiful things. I grew up and attended college in California where I received a masters degree in Social Work. For 25 years I worked as a social worker and found the work deeply meaningful. When I retired I found myself searching for creative expression. My desire to tame my hair led me to creating hair accessories and brooches out of vintage jewelry and ribbons. When my friends delighted in my creations this brought pleasure and meaning in a completely new way and Vintage Blooms By Ellen was born.
