About

I was born at an Art school @UCLA where my mother was working on her Master's Degree in Art History/Education. Her mother my Grandma Carmela was an immigrant to the United States arriving at Ellis Island, from Palermo,Sicily. Growing up around crafty/arty women in my family was my inspiration into the cultural world of art & history. My grandmother, was the eldest of 13 from a farm working family, and she taught me well, how to re-cycle and design new objects of art & fashion....how to take the old and re furnish it into a wearable piece of fashion, to never throw away anything that could be re-used again! My mother would take my sisters and I, to many a garage sale, in search of treasures, relics and historical collector items. Growing up in the 60's-San Francisco Bay was a very unique time. My mother would take my sisters and I, to many a garage sale, in search of treasures, relics and historical collector items. Growing up in the 60's-San Francisco Bay was a very unique time. I became interested in blues-rock music, and soon became a professional female drummer. This led me to collect and wear what I call "rock n roll, biker-outlaw" vintage clothing. I like to design "gypsy" fashions, with a twist from historical patterns, colors, & materials. I have a love of designing period clothing, and costumes, and also hats, & costume jewelry. I spent many years owning my own Vintage Clothing store, and have worked as an Antique and Collectable vendor at many fairs and festivals over the years, including the Ren. Faires, Civil War Re-enactments, motorcycle/car rallies, and Rockabilly music festivals.
I tend to specialize in Plus Sizes for all men, women and children alike. I feel there has always been a great need to offer these fashion services to the plus size markets for many modern years recently. I was once told
that the larger you are in old European countries, is the sign of great wealth and health.....and have always been an outspoken advocate for the full figure fashion industry, artist's and musicians alike!
