It began near the Emerald Hills on Avenue of the Fleas. One grandmother taught me how to embroider and sew, while the other taught me flower arranging, gardening, and how to cook. Together, they encouraged my curiosity for art, design, and junk. I started dismantling watches and re-using their parts as wearable art. Friends and family gave me broken watches and jewelry, which broadened my tinkering into combining a variety of materials, that eventually led to my own design sense.
