Wally Tampico's Profile

About

At the urging of a few of my dear friends I have finally started organizing and photographing some of the jewelry that was part of my bricks and mortar store's " back room".

I retired from retail on December 31st 2007 and started taking care of all the things I had neglected for the past 35 years.

Since my jewelry inventory and my personal collection were in storage, there was no urgency to put it "out there".
As my husband always says: "it doesn't EAT".

True Enough...but we don't ever know how much time we have.

So, here I am!

I first opened a retail "boutique" in 1971.
Since then I have had a store in Southampton N.Y., which led to a winter store in Boca Raton FL., which led to beautiful St. Armand's Key in Sarasota FL. We lived and prospered in NY and Florida for 15 years.

In 1987 we were ready for a change.
We checked out California and settled on San Francisco.
The rest, as they say, is history.
We loved the city and opened a store on Union Street in San Francisco's prestigious Pacific Heights.
This is the store I retired from 20 years later; in 2008.

I have continued designing custom jewelry for my customer/friends. Made many new customers by word of mouth and designed accessories for a couple of small start up businesses.

Now, I have decided to sell off the antique and vintage jewelry that I had in the back room of my store... as well as some of the decorative pieces, that I collected over the years.

The jewelry samples that I made over the past 20 years, for Tampico San Francisco, will also be offered for sale.

Thank you for your interest,
wally.
