I started off in 1998 (eons ago) trying to fix one old broken brooch... now I have over a million rhinestones and buy boxes of broken and forgotten brooches and try to restore them to their original beauty. I purchase my rhinestones in bulk, usually in their original packaging, so I know where they came from and how old they are. I love the pre-1950 Swarovski and Precosia Rhinestones. Their colors are beautiful, consistent and the sizing is exact.

I try to use only Swarovski, Precosia and machine cut rhinestones - they are the most brilliant and give you the best sparkle. I will occasionally buy TTC (table tin cut is of lesser quality) stones if it's an outstanding color but will always mention that in the listing.

When possible, I pick up rare colors and styles that haven't been made for 60-70 years. These beauties are a rare treat! Don't confuse the rare colors (Azalea, Tabac, Romance en Vert, Romance du Matin, Romance en Bleu, Opal Blue, Pink, Yellow, white and Green - are just a few) with colors that have the special coatings (champagne, satin, heliotrope, summer blush, ab2x, etc.). There's something special about the vintage ones - the colors and combinations are unrivaled - unfortunately some aren't made anymore due to the health effects on the workers that made them. I've also been listing rhinestone 'extras' - I have way more than I have time to list, so if you're looking for something in particular, just ask :)

Also, because many of the brooches are re-furbished there is sometimes wear to the components and metals. I try to get close ups so that you can see exactly what you're buying.

If you see earrings that you like but want them to have either sterling silver or vermiel leverbacks/ear posts - let me know. I can upgrade anything for a buck or two.

As a side note, I always donate 10% of gross sales to two charities: Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Teenfeed.org (where I also volunteer as an youth advocate). I think it's important to give back when you can.

Questions are always welcome!

Thanks for your time and happy shopping!
