Weewoman started out as a sewing blog, documenting my adventures in sewing and relief from creative tension.
I grew up watching my mother sew and learning to sew myself on our ancient Singer hand cranked machine. When I became frustrated with the lack of things available in my size or style, it seemed only natural to create them for myself.

I was encouraged to list my items for sale by friends and strangers and their delighted reactions to my creations. Thus Weewomanworks was born!

Since I started making things because I was dissatisfied with items readily available, everything I make is something I would personally like to own.
