About

I live in beautiful Upstate New York with my wonderful supportive husband of thirty-six years. We are both musicians who together play Christian Gospel music. For the past two years, I have been a full-time caregiver for my Mother-in-law who just recently went home to be with the Lord. In my ‘spare’ time, I have been developing not only this site but my other ETSY shop, ‘Nanny’s Cottage’.

Recently, I have been researching and collecting vintage collectibles. My interest in them goes beyond the items themselves. As a young girl, I would love to hear my Grandmother tell the stories behind many of her personal items that she had acquired over the years.

I remember my Grandmother telling how her Irish mother once bought a curio cabinet and had it delivered to her home. When her Irish father sat down to dinner that night he noticed it and said, "Where did that come from?" She replied, "Why Johnny, don't ya remember? Ya bought it for me birthday!" Today I have that cabinet, and just cherish the fact that I know the story behind it.

Every vintage collectible is itself part of a story. When passed on or acquired by others, a new chapter waits to be written.
