Jan Barrett-Farren has been an artist since she could remember. Blessed with the love of art, her first designs were toys for her son Gabriel back in the 1970's. In 1982 she co-authored a documentary study "The Illinois Artisan and Craftsman. Her passion for design and arts and crafts grew with time as she dabbled with graphic design, wood, toy design, and decorative pillow design which all played a part in building her company. Vintage and antique gowns became her focus in 2005 and in 2007 became a Limited Liability Company called White River Bridal, a private studio for preservation and restoration of antique and vintage wedding gowns. "Out of neccessity came the bridal bouquet end of my business," Jan states. "Many of the available silk bouquets were simply not appropriate for vintage and antique gowns, so I started designing my own," Jan states.
