Most of the items you see here are made out of local wood that my husband and I rescue from trash or burn piles. I do my best to identify it, but I can't always place exactly which kind of wood it is!

I started working with wood to make fun things to put in my long hair. Pretty soon I had too many and started giving them to my long-haired friends. Then I ran out of long-haired friends and started selling hair toys at my original Etsy store, WildHairs.etsy.com. Most recently I have acquired a lathe, and an intense curiosity as to what I could make on it!
